news..
Hey girls and boys!
- We're back from our tour through Switzerland, France and what should have been Luxembourg. Here's a brief recap:
The shows in Switzerland with our cuddly yet smelly bossom friends (it's a feminin term in English, isn't it?) from EPHEN RIAN were just plain awesome, although Steff's "Feuerwehrschlauch"-stance was dearly missed. But thanks again to all the people involved.
In Nyon Mike's cell phone, which had my SIM-chip in it, was stolen, as well as our Merch-hero Newmie's expensive digital camera, which had some really awesome pictures of us on and off stage on it. Not out of the van or something but straight from the room we were sleeping in - while we were sleeping in it! What beats me is that something like this would happen at a punk-rock show and the only thing I can think of to say is basically ... FUCK YOU, YOU THIEVING BASTARDS!
We had a day off in Nyon, which we used to the fullest, meaning we were eating Pizza and Salade Melee twice. Thanks an aweful lot to PJ (and not to forget his dad) for letting us crash at his house!
Since the promoters of the show in Luxembourg cancelled the show just a couple of days before it should've taken place we didn't drive up there. Apperently the people working at club were kinda kept in the dark about cancellation by the promoter (who was unreachable to our booker, us and the people at the club that day) and a lot of people showed up as well. We're really sorry about that, we'll try to make up for it later this year.
In Paris we went to visit the Louvre and came to learn that it's closed on Tuesdays. How about them apples? We've been at the Eiffel tower though, which I think is (even though the people of Paris apperently think it's tacky) a really impressive monument.
The show in Paris at L'Espace B with our brothers in arms DAYS IN GRIEF rocked, though I have to admit that I was (as well as a couple of the others) on the verge of a collapse because it was easily the highest on-stage temperature I've ever experienced. Jrg (Singer/Bass-player in DIG) told me afterwards that in his experience the only club that surpassed the heat there was the MAGNET in Berlin where we'll be playing in June, so I'm really looking forward to pop my cherry in terms of passing out on stage.
The show in Clermont-Ferrand was a blast, we've met really nice people there, tore lots of strings and (almost) destroyed the stage, the PA and the hung-in ceiling.
The show in Belveaux got cancelled as well, the promoter apperently was afraid that too few people would show up since there was another show there that very day. Again, sorry about that.
The show in Saint Di was cool, although not that many people showed up, which was because of the easter weekend I've been told. Anyway, after having played with them in Paris in a hectic environment where we didn't get the chance to talk to them we came to meet the people of Paris-based Pop Punk band NO RESTRICTIONS. Very nice and funny people indeed, for instance they let us in on how to properly please a woman with what's called a "Bretagne Kiss".
Unfortunatly, and as stupid as it may sound, but due to the cancelled shows we couldn't afford the gas (and the two days off) to play the show in Saarbruecken with NAERA, so we had to cancel it. We're really sorry about that as well, we've been looking forward to play this show.
Anyway, these people deserve a 'thank you' and a warm hug:
* Skartnak Booking / Nyoncore & all the people involved
* Damien @ Hold On Productions
* Alericx Booking
* Steff & Jules
* PJ and his family
* The Scherb family
- Tomorrow we're starting production on our next full-lenght album "The Opposite of Indifference" which will be out on RECORD OF THE YEAR in late summer. Once again we will be handling the production ourselves at our very own "No Budget Studio", the mixing and mastering will take place in Muensters "Principal Studios" in late May / early June. Therefor we won't play any shows in May, however, once we've finished the master we WILL be touring a lot and keep you posted about where and when.
- After being flooded we've a new guestbook on our page. Go check it out!
Thank you sooo much and all the best!
